Spartan Men Finish Fourth at All-Ohio Championships

The Case Western Reserve University men's track and field team competed at the 2017 All-Ohio Indoor Championships at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio on Saturday.

The Spartan men finished fourth out of 18 teams with 70 points.

The men's 4x200-meter relay team of junior Adrian Cannon, senior Nico Ericksen-Deriso, junior Andrew Ibibo and senior Nathaniel Wahner highlighted the Spartans performances as they finished first in the event with a time of 1:30.91. Wahner also added a third place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.60 and a sixth place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.50. Ibibo placed fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.27.

The men's distance medley relay team of junior Nicholas Knorz, freshman Jonathan Haling, freshman Michael Hradesky and junior Aidan DeSanto claimed a second place finish in the event with a time of 10:29.89. Haling and Ericksen-Deriso also teamed with junior Grant Mlack and sophomore Joseph Cabral to place second in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:26.72. Cabral also added a third place finish in the 800-meter dash with a time of 1:57.11.

Top-five finishes for the men came from junior Zak Hurd in the 55-meter dash (fourth, 6.70), junior Alex Nesvisky in the shot put (fourth, 13.67 meters) and senior Daniel Wade (fifth, 13.28 meters).
