Eagles Finish 5th at BSC Indoor Icebreaker

The Emory Men's Track and Field team began its 2016-17 indoor season on Friday with the BSC Indoor Icebreaker held at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama. The Eagles finished fifth at the meet out of 15 schools and were the top Division III program, finishing with 29 points.

The Eagles saw three top three finishes on Friday to led the team. Senior Lukas Mees opened the meet, taking third in the 3000m Run with a time of 8:58.67. Junior Benjamin Rogin placed second in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.47, a mark that ties for eighth fastest in school history. Senior Ian McIsaac also had a second place showing, clocking in with a time of 1:57.29 in the 800m Run.

Also earning points for the Eagles at the meet were the 4x400m Relay, placing fourth with a time of 3:25.85 and junior Robert Wilhelm III in the 800m Run (6th, 1:59.40).

Other notable finishes for Emory on Friday include: junior Jasper Rubin-Sigler in the 60m Dash (11th, 7.02 – fifth fastest mark in program history), sophomore Zachary Lembersky in the weight throw (8th, 13.97m), freshman Jackson Hoit in the shot put (10th, 11.79m), junior Gregory Litle in mile (11th, 4:37.24), freshman Mason Lewis in the 200m Dash (22.91), senior Kyle Veator in the long jump (12th, 6.44) and freshman Aria Mohseni in the 400m Dash (16th, 51.26).
