Eagles Conclude Action at Buccaneer Invitational

The Emory University Men's Track and Field opened the month of February this weekend with the Buccaneer Invitational at East Tennessee State University. There was no team scoring at the two-day meet.

Junior Max Brown recorded the seventh-fastest time in school history in the 800m run on Saturday to pace the Eagles in track events. Brown took fourth in the event, finishing with a time of 1:54.37. On Friday, Brown helped Emory to a third place showing in the Distance Medley Relay along with senior Michael McBane, junior Robert Wilhelm III and freshman Samuel Branson. The quartet clocked in with a time of 10:26.84.

Senior Kyle Veator paced the Eagles in both the 60m and 200 Dash events. In the 200m, Veator registered the fastest time of the season for Emory at 22.79 and in the 60m, he crossed the finish line at 7.20.

Other notable finishes for the Eagles included Branson in the 3000m Run (6th, 8:47.04), junior Phil Edwards in the mile (8th, 4:26.74), freshman Michael Battat in the long jump (16th, 6.50m), freshman Andrew Kliewer in the 5000m Run (22nd, 16:08.62), freshman Aria Mohseni in the 400m Dash (35th, 51.78) and sophomore Noah Elm in the 60m Hurdles (40th, 9.15).
