Emory Returns to Action at ETSU Invitational

The Emory University Men's Track and Field team returned to competition this weekend at the ETSU Track & Field Invitational on the campus of East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. There was no team scoring for Division III programs at the meet.

Junior Shane Sullivan paced all Eagle performers at the two-day meet with a second place finish in the 3000m Run, finishing with a time of 15:00.36. Freshman Samuel Branson and junior Phil Edwards added top-10 finishes for Emory in the 3000m Run. Branson placed seven with a time of 8:53.60 while Edwards was eighth with a mark of 8:54.27.

Senior Brandon Cromer registered a 21st place finish in the 800m Run on Friday, clocking in at 2:02.07 before posting a 14th place showing in the Mile on Saturday, finishing with a mark of 4:37.96. Junior Benjamin Rogin was 16th in the 60m Hurdles while senior Ian McIsaac led all Eagles in the 400m Dash, placing 20th at 51.53.

In the field events, freshman Jackson Hoit turned in a 17th place showing with a distance of 10.61m in the shot put with sophomore Zachary Lemberskyrecording a mark of 12.97m in the weight throw to finish 21st.
