In a final push before NCAA nationals, the University of Chicago track and field headed out to participate in several final qualifier meet. The Maroons traveled to Carthage College on Friday and University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Ohio Northern University on Saturday.

The men's distance medley took third in 10:17.69 with the quartet of senior Jeremy Ferguson, freshman Tyson Miller, sophomore Owen Melia and senior Nick Nielsen. That time ranks 33rd nationally.

At Ohio Northern, junior Will Ackerman won the men's heptathlon with 4,559 to rank 31st nationally.
