Bears Shatter School Record at Hoosier Hills Invitational

Junior Elvir Sarajlic broke a school record to highlight several career-best performances for the Washington University in St. Louis men's indoor track & field team Friday night at the Hoosier Hills Invite hosted by Indiana University.

Sarajlic raced to a school-record time of 4:11.56 to finish fourth in the men's mile fast section. The time was more than a seven-second improvement from his previous career-best, with the time ranking 10th in NCAA Division III this season. Senior Mike Sullivan competed in another heat of the men's mile and finished fourth with a time of 4:17.75.

Senior Deko Ricketts was the lone event winner for the WashU men, clocking a time of 1:52.83 in the men's 800 dash. The time ranks fifth in NCAA Division III this season. Senior Conor Cashner also competed in the 800, posting a fifth-place finish with a career-best time of 1:55.23.

Sophomore Peter Johnsrud (8:36.48) and senior Ryan Becker (8:47.10) each ran career-best times to place sixth and tenth, respectively in the 3,000m.
