Emory Excels at Dunamis Super Meet

The Emory University Track and Field teams returned to competition Friday afternoon, competing at the Dunamis Super Meet at the Lakepoint Center in Emerson, GA.

For the men's team, sophomore Andrew Kliewer and freshman Jack Whetstone led the Eagles, taking home a pair of event wins at the meet. Kliewer posted a personal-best time of 9:07.80 to win the 3000m Run while in the 5000m Run, Whetstone bested his personal best mark by over 20 seconds to win in a time of 15:30.70.

Other top performers for the men were seniors Benjamin Rogin, Charlie Hu and sophomore Mason Lewis. Rogin turned in his best time of the season in the 60m Hurdles at 8.35 during prelims and finished sixth overall. Hu paced the Eagles in the field events, recording season-best marks in both the long jump (6.12m) and triple jump (13.32m). And in the 60m Dash, Lewis clocked in at 7.17 which represented a new personal best time.
