Hanover, Ind., Nov. 23, 2013 – The Washington University in St. Louis men's cross country team finished fourth at the 2013 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships hosted by Hanover College Saturday.

The Washington U. men finished in the top-five for the third year in a row, and in the top-10 for the fifth consecutive year. The Bears scored 167 points to finish fourth in the team standings after placing fifth in 2012 and third in 2011. St. Olaf College scored 84 points to edge two-time defending champion North Central College (Ill.) for the national title by two points. University of Wisconsin-La Crosse finished third with 155 points.

Senior Kevin Sparks and junior Drew Padgett each earned All-America honors for the Washington University men. Sparks finished 18th overall to repeat as an All-American, while Padgett earned the first All-America honor of his career with a 25th-place finish. Junior Garrett Patrick just missed out on All-America honors (top-35 individuals) by finishing 38th overall. It was just the second time in school history that the Washington University men have had multiple All-Americans in the same season.
