Chicago Takes Title at  Augustana Invitational

The University of Chicago men's cross country team posted a well-rounded effort that led to a victory at the Augustana College Brissman-Lundeen Invitational on Friday.

UChicago's men finished first out of 39 teams with 74 points scored. The Maroons squeezed past Ferris State University (77 points) and Olivet Nazarene University (78 points) for the team win.

Junior Michael Frasco was the team's top placer in the large field of 532 runners. He finished in sixth place in a time of 25:13.0. SophomoreG areth Jones ran in his first race of the year and took 13th in 25:31.4. Senior Kevin On also placed in the top 20, taking 18th in 25:37.2.
