Rochester Captures Oswego Invite Title

With four finishers among the top nine and all five scorers in the top 13, the Rochester men's cross country team won the SUNY Oswego Invitational on Saturday morning.
 
The Yellowjackets finished with 40 points, just edging out Cortland (41 pts.) for championship honors at the meet. RIT was third with 82 points. A total of 14 teams, encompassing 162 runners, competed.
 
Jeremy Hassett was the individual leader for Rochester. He was fourth overall with a clocking of 25:22.9 for the 8K course. Eric Franklin was second for the Yellowjackets, sixth overall, in 25:27.1. Mark Rolffs took eighth place overall in 25:32.8, and Dan Nolte was ninth in 25:37.7 to complete the top nine grouping.
 
Rochester's fifth scorer was Chris D'Antona, timed in 25:41.6 in13th place. The displacers were Austin Davisa, 20th in 26:05.6, and Joseph DeFabio, 23rd in 26:25.6.
