CWRU Finishes Eighth at Inter-Regional Rumble

The Case Western Reserve University men's cross country team finished eighth overall and women's cross country team grabbed a second-place finish at the 2015 Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin College on Saturday morning. 

On the men's side, sophomore Sam Merriman led CWRU with a career-best 8K time of 24:57.4 for a 27th place finish in the field of 274 runners. Senior Chippy Kennedy also recorded a career-best time with a mark of 24:59.3 for 31st place overall. For 32nd overall, junior Galen Caldwell finished with his new career-best time of 25:01.3. Sophomore Zach Roshon finished 53rd overall with his new best time of 25:20.6. Seniors Ben Davis and Tony Spalding crossed the finish line with times of 25:22.4 and 25:31.5 for 57th and 76th, respectively. Closing out the scorers for the Spartans eighth place team, junior Gilad Doron finished with a career-best time of 25:51.1.
