Maroons Place Fourth at Illinois Intercollegiates

The University of Chicago men's cross country team came in fourth place at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships on Friday.

Chicago was fourth out of 16 teams in the 8K. Augustana College won handily with 38 points and the Maroons tallied 76 points. Leading the way was junior Gareth Jones and senior Michael Frasco, who finished sixth and seventh in 25:47.0 and 25:56.7, respectively. Junior Timofey Karginov was 16th in 26:13.0 and sophomore Peter Kreuch broke into the top 20 at 26:19.4.
