Dan Nolte, Eric Franklin Lead Rochester At Rowan Border Battle

The University of Rochester men's cross country team finished in 9th place of 24 teams at the Rowan University Border Battle on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Yellowjackets were led by junior Dan Nolte who placed in 20th of the 231 runner field.  Nolte crossed the finish in 25:19.54 for the 8k course.  Classmate Eric Franklin also posted a solid run, ending in 32nd place in 25:33.51.
 
Rochester's 3rd and 4th runners nearly finished back-to-back, as senior Jeremy Hassett ended 63rd and freshman Forrest Hangen ended 65th.  Hassett clocked in at 26:04.75 while Hangen earned a time of 26:05.64.  Rounding out UR's top-5 was junior Jake Greenberg who finished in 88th place in 26:20.73.
 
UR's displacers were freshman Ben Martell in 101st place (26:29.69) and junior Matt Prohaska in 106th place (26:32.88).
 
The overall team champion was Haverford with 62 team points.  TCNJ was 2nd with 98, Elizabethtown 3rd with 132, Geneseo St. 4th with 151 and Ramapo 5th at 159.  Rochester finished with a combined 259 points in the race.
