Bears Place Sixth at Wisconsin-Oshkosh AAE Invitational

The Washington University men had five runners finish in the top-75 as they placed sixth in the team standings. at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh AAE Invitational Pre-National race at the Lake Breeze Golf Club Saturday. 

Junior Ryan Becker finished fifth overall with a career-best 8K time of 24:42 to lead the WashU men to a sixth-place finish out of 45 teams. The Bears' top-five runners finished in the top-75 as WashU scored 223 points to edge Central College by one point for sixth place. University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire won the team title with 99 points. Just six points separated the fifth- through eighth-place teams. WashU had five runners race to career-best 8K times.

A second set of races was also contested Saturday at the AAE Invitational. The WashU men scored 108 points to finish fifth in the Invitational race out of 31 teams.
