Junior Ryan Becker led seven top-12 finishers for the Washington University in St. Louis men's cross country team as the Bears won the team title at the Gil Dodds Invitational hosted by Wheaton College (Ill.) Saturday morning.
Becker raced to the first individual title of his career with an 8K time of 25:13 to win by 19 seconds over the runner-up. He led five Bears in the top-10 and seven in the top-12 as the WashU men won the team title over 11 other teams. The Bears scored 25 points to easily outpace the University of Chicago, who finished second with 66 points.
