Tartans Place Third at Mideast Regional

The Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team competed at the 2016 Mideast Regional on Saturday, November 12, at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa. The Tartans finished third in a field of 52 teams with 115 points. Johns Hopkins University won the meet as Haverford College finished second.

Sophomore William Mitchell (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) led the Tartans with a 16th-place finish as he crossed in 25:30.  Senior Curtis Watro (Audubon, Pa./Methacton) was second for the Tartans in 20th place in 25:32 while junior Ryan Auld (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) was next to cross the finish line for the Tartans in 24th with a time of 25:38.

Sophomore Aadi Mhatre (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) was the fourth Tartan to finish the race and was one place behind Auld in 25th with a time of 25:40. Classmate Paul Fleming (Sharon, Mass./Sharon) was 30th overall with a time of 25:47.
