NYU Finishes Fifth at Rowan Border Bash

The New York University men's cross country team took fifth place at the Rowan University Inter-Regional Boarder Bash on Saturday, October 15, in Glassboro, NJ.

NYU finished the 8K race with 216 points. SUNY Geneseo took home the team title with 71 points. 

Leading the way for the Violets was Jorge Maldonado, who finished in sixth place with a time of 23:38.3 

"We had a strong performance today against some really tough competition," said Head Coach Erison Hurtault. "Our performances are coming together and we are ready to break into the top level of teams at the D3 level, starting with the UAA's and NCAA Regionals."

Overall, 383 runners and 43 teams competed in the race.

HIGHLIGHTS:

- The second NYU runner to cross the finish line was Max Mudd, who placed 38th in a time of 24:28.8.

- Following Mudd was Neil Saddler in 39th (24:29.2).

- Karn Setya and Nick Karam rounded out the Violets' top five, finishing in 55th (24:42.0) and 78th (24:55.1) positions, respectively.
