Chicago Places Ninth at NCAA Midwest Regional

The University of Chicago men finished ninth of 33 teams at 2016 NCAA Division III Cross Country Midwest Regional on Saturday.

The UChicago men were ninth in the standings with 278 points. North Central College dominated the field with 37 points. Senior Nick Nielsen received All-Region status by finishing 34th in a time of 25:36.1. The senior duo of Timofey Karginov and Eyal Hanfling both placed in the top 60. Karginov ran a time of 25:57.5 (51st place) and Hanfling crossed the line in 26:06.0 (56th place).
