Yellowjackets Compete at Mike Woods Invitational, End 15th

The Yellowjacket men's cross country team ended in 15th place at the 38th Annual Mike Woods Geneseo Cross Country Invitational on Saturday at Letchworth State Park.

Rochester was across the finish line by senior Christopher Cook who wound up 85th in the 316 runner field.  He completed the 8k course in a time of 27:22.9.

The overall team champions were the hosts and top-ranked SUNY Geneseo who scored 17 points, recording seven of the top nine runners in the race.  Oswego State was second, RIT third, SUNY Fredonia fourth and St. Vincent (PA) finished fifth.

Rochester's second runner was sophomore Andrew Faulstich who finished in 97th place, running a time of 27:32.3.  Freshman Ryley Robinson and senior Alphonse Mugisha were 111th and 112th respectively, running times of 27:38.2 and 27:39.4.

Finishing off the Yellowjacket top-5 was sophomore Anthony Pane who crossed the finish in 27:55.0, good for 122nd place.

UR's displacers were freshman Collin Gwilt in 163rd place and sophomore Andrew Gutierrez who placed 168th.  Gwilt recorded a time of 28:39.0 and Gutierrez finished in 28:42.5.  Freshman Leo Orsini was Rochester's final runner on Saturday and ended in 185th.
