Rochester Finishes 14th at Yellowjacket Invitational

The University of Rochester men's cross country team held its annual Yellowjacket Invitational on Saturday and ended in 14th place of 29 teams.

The winning team was the University of Mount Union who had 62 team points, including having the overall race winner in Preston Myers who completed the race in 25:38.4.  Case Western Reserve finished in second, with St. Lawrence winding up third. 

Overall, Rochester accumulated 324 team points, led by senior Matt Prohaska who finished in 42nd place overall, finishing the 8k course in 27:20.3.

Rochester's second finisher was sophomore Christopher Dalke who ran a time of 27:49.9 and finished in 65th place.  UR's Nate Conroy and Jake Greenberg crossed the stripe back-to-back in 75th and 76th place, earning times of 27:59.7 and 28:00.1 respectively.

Rounding out UR's scoring places was sophomore Ankur Desai who placed 85th and finished in 28:05.5. 

The Yellowjacket displacers were senior Alphonse Mugisha (87th) who finished in 28:07.5 and sophomore Andrew Faulstich (137th) that clocked in 28:51.6.
