Bears Place Fourth at NCAA Midwest Regional

The Washington University men finished fourth of 33 teams at the 2016 NCAA Division III Midwest Region Cross Country Championships Saturday at Lake Breeze Golf Club. 

The WashU men scored 138 points to finish fourth overall. North Central College (Ill.) won the men's title with 37 points scored while University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire was second with 91.

Four men earned All-Region honors for the WashU in junior David O'Gara (10th), sophomore Kyle Cepeda (27th), freshman Nick Matteucci (28th) and sophomore Peter Johnsrud (35th). Lindsay earned the honor for the third straight season while Wayne and Degen repeated as All-Region performers
