Yellowjackets Place Seventh At Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational

The University of Rochester men's cross country had all five runners within 36 seconds of one another and used that finish to end in 7th place of 18 teams at the SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Letchworth State Park.
 
Overall, the Yellowjackets finished with 191 team points.  Host SUNY Geneseo was the team champion with 35 points, Rowan University finished second with 81 and Oneonta State was third with 90.
 
Rochester was led by sophomore Ivan Frantz who placed 33rd in a field of 238 runners, running the 8-kilometer course in 26:10.1.  Teammate Hunter Phinney ended right behind Frantz in 34th, clocking in at 26:10.4.
 
Sophomore Ryley Robinson was the third UR runner to finish in 26:24.9, earning 49th place.
 
First-year runner Dan Allara was 61st in 26:43.2 while senior Nate Conroy rounded out UR's scoring runners, placing 64th in 26:46.0.
 
The Yellowjacket displacers were juniors Christopher Dalke in 77th place (26:54.0) and Benjamin Martell in 84th place (27:02.8).
