Yellowjackets Finish in Tight Grouping at UAA Cross Country Championship

From University of Rochester Athletics

Rochester's men had a good grouping at the University Athletic Association cross country championships on Saturday, but couldn't get that one or two breakthrough performance for a high team finish.

The Yellowjacket runners were separated by just over a minute – from Andrew Faulstich, who was the first UR man through the chute – to Nate Conroy who was the second displacer.

Faulstich ran the 8K course at Garret Mountain in 28:03.5 (49th place). Hunter Phinney was second for Rochester in 28:13.3. First-year Daniel Allara was the third Yellowjacket across the line (28:35.6). Christopher Dalke was next (28:41.5) with Ivan Frantz fifth for UR (28:46.0). The displacers were Ryley Robinson (28:50.3) and Conroy (29:08.9).

Rochester finished in eighth place. Washington and Carnegie Mellon filled the top two team spots, followed by Emory, host NYU, Chicago, Brandeis, and Case Western Reserve University.
