Spartans Win at Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble

The Case Western Reserve University men's cross country team came away with the team victory at the Inter-Regional Rumble in Oberlin, Ohio on Saturday afternoon.

The Spartans totaled 46 points at the meet, placing three runners inside the top-10, and six among the top-20 of the 8K race.  Baldwin Wallace finished in second place with 120 points, followed by Franciscan in third with 131.

Case Western Reserve's top finisher for the second-straight week was junior David Hall, who placed fourth overall with a time of 25:37.0.  He was followed by sophomore Trey Razanauskas in seventh place with a time of 25:51.1, and senior Zach Roshon placed 10th overall with a mark of 25:58.5.

Junior Karthik Ravichandran was fourth among Spartan finishers, crossing the line 13th overall with a time off 26:05.5, and freshman Spencer Weigand rounded out the team's scorers with a 15th-place finish in a time of 26:09.8.  Completing the Spartans' top seven were sophomore Yoshmar Pinal-Alfaro in 18th place with a time of 26:13.2 and junior Andrew Green in 29th place with a time of 26:30.3.

The meet served as the Spartans' final tune-up for the 2018 University Athletic Association Championships.  The conference championship meet will hosted by the University of Chicago in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Sunday, October 28th.
