In the final race of his cross country career, Ben Haderle represented the New York University men's team at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship on Saturday, November 17, at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne, WI.

NYU's lone qualifier for the race, Haderle finished 126th out of 280 competitors after running a time of 25:45.8 in the 8k race. Dhruvil Patel of North Central University claimed first place with a time of 24:24.5.

Haderle earned his place in the championship after an 18th-place finish at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championship last Saturday. He posted an 8K time of 26:54.0, earned All-Region honors (top 35) and was able to qualify for the NCAA Championship as an individual.

"I am proud of Ben's performance today and throughout his career," said Head Coach Erison Hurtault. "He has worked so hard for four years and has been a great leader. I look forward to seeing how he does on the track."

This was the first NCAA Championship race of Haderle's college career.
