Head coach Leticia Pineda-Boutté picked up career win number 300 as the Washington University in St. Louis softball team swept a doubleheader from Principia College Thursday in St. Louis.
Pineda-Boutté is 280-104-1 (.729) in nine seasons as Washington University, and 301-130-1 (.698) in 10 seasons as a collegiate softball coach.
Sophomore pitcher Annie Pitkin tossed the ninth perfect game in school history in the Bears 10-0 win in five innings in game one, and then Washington U. posted a 3-0 victory in five innings in a rain-shortened game two.

Game One
Pitkin (15-9) struck out the final 11 batters of the game
en route to her second career no-hitter. She finished with 12
strikeouts in the win and lowered her team-leading earned run
average to 1.77.
Seniors Maggie Ingell (2-for-3, four RBIs) and Kelsey Neal (2-for-3, three RBIs) combined to drive in seven run for the Bears, who had 11 hits in the win. Junior Adrienne White returned to the lineup and went 1-for-2 with a run scored and tied a WUSTL single-game record with three stolen bases.
Ingell drove in two with a single to give WUSTL a 2-0 lead after an inning, and then Washington U. broke open the game with three runs on five hits in the third.
Ingell singled down the third base line to drive in her third run of the game, and then a double by Neal to right pushed the lead to 4-0. Graduate student Stacy Berg singled to right to extend the lead to 5-0.
WUSTL put the game out of reach with five runs on three hits in the fourth. Freshman Janet Taylor just missed a home run with an RBI double to right, and then Neal launched a towering two-run home run to left. The home run for Neal was her team-leading seventh of the season and 24th of her career.

Two
Neal (7-3) picked up the win in game two allowing one hit
in four innings pitched. She also had two strikeouts en route to
earning the 30th win of her career.
Sophomore Brooke Hofer pitched the fifth to pick up her
third save.
Ingell got the Bears on the scoreboard first for the second-straight game with a solo home run to center. The round tripper was her seventh of the season, tying Neal for the team lead, and 29th of her career. The RBI was also the 150th of Ingell's career.
Washington U. pushed across two more runs in the third inning after White drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and then junior Alyssa Wilsonscored after a throwing error by Principia pitcher Samantha Bronkar. Washington U. was limited to two hits in game two.
Washington U. (28-13) opens a four-game road trip at No. 23-ranked Fontbonne University Friday, April 25, in St. Ann, Mo. Game one is set to begin at 5 p.m.
BEAR NOTEBOOK: Washington U. is 23-0 this season when scoring first … Ingell is six hits shy of the school record of 220 set by Liz Swary (2003-07) … Ingell moved into third place in school history in games played (171), while Neal is tied for eighth (163) … Neal passed Jamie Kressel (2004-07) into third on the all-time RBI list with 144 … The Bears had seven stolen bases in the doubleheader to increase its season total to 90, breaking the school record of 85 set in 2010 … Ingell and Neal are tied for the team lead with 15 multi-hit games ...
