Madison Sullivan of Brandeis Named First Team All-New England by NFCA

Brandeis University softball senior third baseman Madison Sullivan of Dover, N.H., has been named a first-team All-New England selection by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Sullivan hit .409 this season with 14 doubles, one triple and seven home runs for the Judges, who finished with an 18-19 record. She led the team with 35 RBI and 31 runs scored and led the University Athletic Association (UAA) with a .730 slugging percentage. She was second in the circuit in doubles and tied for third in home runs.

For her career, Sullivan was a .333 hitter who played in 144 of a possible 152 games, not missing a contest in her final three seasons. She is Brandeis career leader with eight sacrifice flies, and ranks fifth in career home runs (18), eighth in total bases (240) and RBI (99) and ninth in slugging percentage (.539). Sullivan also ranks fifth in career assists with 250, including 110 this season, both tops among Brandeis softball third basemen.

This is Sullivan's second All-New England selection by the NFCA, having earned third-team honors as a sophomore. By earning first-team honors, Sullivan becomes eligible to be named an All-American later this month.

Sullivan is a 2012 graduate of Dover High School.
