To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. The All-District honorees advance to the national ballot, which will name Academic All-Americans in late May.

Kohm has started in 30 games and leads UChicago with a career-high .372 batting average. A senior at the first base position, Kohm is the team leader with nine doubles with nine and a .616 slugging percentage. She also owns career-high numbers in home runs (4) and RBI (21). On April 29, Kohm was named First Team All-University Athletic Association (UAA).
