Diana King of the New York University softball team was named All-Eastern College Athletic Association (ECAC) Metro Honorable Mention on Wednesday, May 17. 

The Rye, NY, native led the University Athletic Association (UAA) in runs (43), home runs (eight) and slugging percentage (.632). She also posted a .352 batting average while leading the Violets with 44 hits and 16 stolen bases. 

NYU's sophomore outfielder was the only Violet to play in all 38 games last season. She started in centerfield 31 times and toed the rubber as a starter seven times, posting a 3-3 record.   

King also earned First Team All-UAA honors in 2017. Last season, she earned First Team All-UAA, UAA All-Tournament Team and ECAC Metro Championship Most Outstanding Player honors.

The Violets completed the 2017 season with a 19-19 (5-9 UAA) overall record and a semifinals appearance at the ECAC Division III Championship.
