Emory and CWRU Headed to NCAA Division III Softball Championship

UAA champion Emory University and runner-up Case Western Reserve University each received berths to the 2018 NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

The Eagles will host a four-team regional in the first game of the double-elimination tournament. Other teams in the regional are Berry College and Lynchburg College. Emory has recorded four softball World Series appearances, five NCAA regional championships, one NCAA Super Regional title, and 15 NCAA tournament appearances.

The Spartans will head to Notre Dame, Indiana after receiving one of the 19 Pool 'C' bids to the tournament and will take on Ohio Northern University in the first game of the double-elimination tournament. Other teams in the four-team regional are host Saint Mary's College (IN) and Mount Aloysius College. The NCAA appearance is second in the program's history, and first since the 2001 season.

The teams that win in regional play will advance to the Super Regionals from May 18th-19th.
