Emory University sophomore shortstop Cassie Baca hit .571 (8-for-14) with four runs scored and four runs batted in to lead the Eagles to a 4-0 record at the William Peace University Triangle Classic. She finished 3-for-3 with one RBI in a 4-0 victory over North Carolina Wesleyan University. Bacca hit a three-run home run to highlight a seven run second inning in a 8-1 triumph over Piedmont College.
