Junior pitcher Brittany File posted a 3-1 record and 1.56 earned run average to lead Emory University to the NCAA Division III Softball Championship Mount Berry Regional title. She recorded three complete games and struck out 34 batters, boosting her season total to a program-record 307. File fanned 10 batters and allowed just one hit in a 3-1 Eagles’ win over Birmingham-Southern College and followed that with 12 strikeouts in a 5-2 victory over Berry College. In the deciding game of the regional, File pitched all eight innings, yielding one earned run, and fanning eight.
