Chicago, Emory, Rochester, and Washington all earned bids to the NCAA Division III Softball Championship. There are 16 regionals consisting of three or four teams each with the advancing team to play in the following weekend’s Super Regional. The Maroons (25-8) will host Thomas More College (30-10), Benedictine College (32-11), and University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (31-9). The Eagles (36-7) will host Piedmont College (41-6), Lynchburg College (30-14), and Agnes Scott College (23-20). The Yellowjackets (26-11) play host to Alfred University (27-10), Messiah College (28-9), and Marywood University (24-11). The Bears (30-15) will join The College of St. Scholastica (27-10) and Luther College (30-6) at Central College (30-10)… Brandeis earned the second seed and will host the ECAC New England Division III Championships… Brittany Grage (Rochester) tossed her second career no-hitter with her perfect game after throwing a no-hitter against Rochester Institute of Technology in 2013. First-year pitcher Eleni Wechsler posted a 2-0 record over the weekend with back-to-back shutouts of Union College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She also batted .353 with two home runs and nine runs batted in.
