Lizzie Boeck has joined the New York University women's basketball team as an assistant coach. Her primary responsibilities will include scouting, post-player development and game scheduling. Boeck will also assist in recruiting efforts and with the coordination of the team's community service opportunities.

Boeck joins NYU after most recently working with E3Sports in New York City as a performance consultant and personal trainer.

During the 2012-13 season, Boeck served as the Volunteer Head Coach for the St. Peter's Lutheran Church men's basketball team, leading the squad to the Long Island Lutheran Basketball League title. In addition, she was in charge of securing practice facilities, transportation and maintaining weekly schedules.

"We are thrilled to have Lizzie join our program," NYU Head Coach Lauren Hall-Gregory said. "She is passionate about helping student-athletes attain their goals on and off the court. Lizzie will bring an enthusiastic and hardworking attitude to our team every day."

A 2011 cum laude graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in family services, Boeck was a four-year member of the Panthers' women's basketball team. While there, she helped lead Division I UNI to two consecutive Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances, while being named MVC Tournament MVP in 2010. As a senior, Boeck served as team captain and earned MVC First Team All-Conference and All-Academic honors.

"I am very excited to join Coach Hall-Gregory and her staff at NYU," Boeck said. "They have done a tremendous job in aiding in the growth of the program, and I am eager to contribute to the future success of the team and the development of its very talented student-athletes."
