Brandeis Graduate Pam Vaughan to be Inducted Into New England Basketball Hall of Fame

Former Brandeis women’s basketball star Pam Vaughan ’90 will be inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame on August 8 at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass.

Vaughan was a three-sport star who played soccer and softball at Brandeis in addition to basketball. She was inducted into the Brandeis Hall of Fame in 1996. She ranks fourth on Brandeis’s career scoring list with 1,294 points. She also tops the Judges’ career list with 420 steals and ranks second with 351 assists. She was a two-time All-University Athletic Association selection, including first-team honors as a senior in 1990, when she scored 33 points in a game against Smith College, a mark that stood for two decades. Vaughan was a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree for basketball as well. A former Massachusetts state champion as a soccer coach at Nashoba Regional High School, she is currently president of PV Team Consulting. Vaughan is a native of Waltham.

Vaughan is the sixth person affiliated with Brandeis to be inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame. She will join current coaches Carol Simon and Brian Meehan, former coach Bob Brannum and former players Glenn Wong ’74 and Bill Lynch ’79.
