UAA Announces Women's Basketball All-Association Team; Lisa Murphy of Carnegie Mellon Named Player of the Year

Senior center/forward Lisa Murphy of Carnegie Mellon University repeated as UAA Women's Basketball Player of the Year as the 2016-17 All-Association Team was announced.

Murphy leads NCAA Division III in field goal percentage, hitting 79.6 percent of her shots. She ranks third in the nation in scoring (24.4 points per game), fourth in field goals made (214), 12th in double-doubles (17), and 13th in rebounds (12.7 rebounds per game). She leads the UAA in each category.

Senior guard Stephanie Anderson of University Chicago was selected as UAA Defensive Player of the Year and first-year guard Miranda Burt of the Maroons was named UAA Rookie of the Year.
