Olivia Lett of Chicago Receives WBCA Thirty Under 30 Recognition

From University of Chicago Athletics

University of Chicago assistant women's basketball coach Olivia Lett was recently picked as a Thirty Under 30 honoree by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).

The WBCA Thirty Under 30 presented by Marriott Rewards® program was created two years ago as a way to recognize up-and-coming women's basketball coaches at the collegiate level age 30 and under. According to the press release, the award recipients have exemplary contributions "in community service, mentorship and impact on others, professional manner, and attitude and professional association involvement."

In her first year at UChicago, Lett was an integral member of the coaching staff that helped the Maroons post a 19-8 overall record and qualify the NCAA postseason for the first time since 2012. The squad reached the second round of the tournament and defeated six nationally-ranked opponents over the course of the season. UChicago was voted the University Athletic Association (UAA) Coaching Staff of the Year, and head coach Carissa Sain Knoche was also selected as the D3hoops.com Central Region Coach of the Year.
