Madeline Homoly and Natalie Orr of Bears Named to All-Region Teams by D3hoops.com

Washington University in St. Louis junior forward Madeline Homoly, Kansas City, Mo. (Bishop Miege) and senior guard Natalie Orr, Carmel, Ind. (Heritage Christian) were announced as D3hoops.com All-Central Region selections.

Homoly, a Central Region First Team selection, has earned first team honors in back-to-back seasons. She started all 27 games for the Bears and led the team in scoring (16.7 ppg) and rebounding (7.5 reb/g). Homoly concluded the season with a 49.2-percent FG% and 74.7-percent FT%. She also averaged 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game. In two NCAA Tournament games Homoly averaged 25.5 ppg, the second best scoring average in the tournament.

Orr, a Central Region Third Team selection, is a first time honoree. She concluded the season with career-best averages in points (12.7), rebounds (6.6) and assists (2.7). Orr finished her career with 153 three-pointers made, the fourth best total in WashU history. She also is tied for the second-best efficiency from beyond the arc, shooting at a 41.8-percent clip in her career at WashU.

The Bears concluded the 2017-18 season with a 19-8 overall record while advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the 29th consecutive season. WashU earned an at-large bid during head coach Randi Henderson's first year at the helm.
