From Washington University Athletics
The Washington University in St. Louis women's basketball program's graduate Natalie Orr and senior Madeline Homoly will represent the Bears on the USA D-3 Women's Basketball Team during the 2018 Brazil Tour.
The USA D-3 Brazil tour begins on July 16 and runs through July 25. The team orientation is conducted in Orlando, Fla. before the team departs for Sao Paulo, Brazil.
"This is an outstanding group of basketball players that come from 12 different states and 14 different colleges and universities from across the United States," commented Ron Smith, Director of USA Sports Tours & Events. "These players have been high achievers both on the court and in the classroom. They represent everything good that the NCAA Division III institutions have to offer."
The schedule includes games against Jundiai, Santa Andre Clube, Queimados and Fluminese. The Santa Andre Clube women's team is a top pro team from Brazil's 1st Division Professional League.

Orr was an All-Central Region Third Team selection by D3hoops.com during her senior season. She concluded the season with career-best averages in points (12.7), rebounds (6.6) and assists (2.7). Orr finished her career with 153 three-pointers made, the fourth best total in WashU history. She also is tied for the second-best efficiency from beyond the arc, shooting at a 41.8-percent clip in her career at WashU.
Homoly, a D3hoops.com Central Region First Team selection, earned first team honors in back-to-back seasons. She started all 27 games for the Bears and led the team in scoring (16.7 ppg) and rebounding (7.5 reb/g). Homoly posted a 49.2-percent FG% and 74.7-percent FT% on the season. She also averaged 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game. In two NCAA Tournament games Homoly averaged 25.5 ppg, the second best scoring average in the tournament.
