From Washington University Athletics

Madeline Homoly, a 2019 Washington University in St. Louis graduate, had her first season playing overseas basketball in England cut short due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Homoly was competing for the two-time defending national champion British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL), while also pursuing a master's degree in cognitive and clinical neuroscience at Anglia Ruskin University.

She moved back to Kansas City after the remaining of the season was cancelled.

Homoly helped lead Anglia Ruskin to a 14-2 overall record and a second-place finish in the league before the season was cut short.

She was averaging 24.0 points and 8.7 rebounds per contest, and ranked in the top-10 in five league categories: first in blocks (1.0), second in efficiency (392.00 EFF), third in points, sixth in rebounds and ninth in steals (2.5).

Homoly helped lead Anglia Ruskin to the WNBL National Cup title on Feb. 2, an all-league tournament. She was named the WNBL National Cup Final MVP, and in the championship game had 28 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals.
