From NYU Athletics

Ten members of New York University's women's fencing team will travel to Yale University in New Haven, CT, to participate in this year's NCAA Division III Regional Championships on Sunday, March 12.

The Violets participating this year will include Eileen Wang, Hannah Bennett and Stephanie Cunningham in epee. In foil, Anastasiya Muravyeva, Rachel Yuen and Alisa Traskunov will compete.  NYU will also be represented in sabre by Oliwia Szumilo, Jacqueline Tubbs, Audrey Edgington, and Maria Free. 

Leading the way for NYU will be freshman Szumilo (#12 in sabre), and sophomores Muravyeva (#13 in foil) and Tubbs (#16 in sabre).

The top eight places after regionals in each weapon will qualify for the National Championships.
