The New York University women's fencing team went 1-6 in dual meets at the Sacred Heart Tradition Multi-Meet on Sunday, December 3, in Poughkeepsie, NY.

However, NYU ended the day with a convincing 23-4 victory over host Vassar College.
Freshman Tiffany Luong led the way with a 14-7 record in foil.
"Tiffany fenced incredibly well," said NYU Head Coach Steve Mormando.
OTHER HIGHLIGHTS:
- Junior Jacqueline Tubbs (8-6) and freshman Sabrina Zhao (9-11) performed well for the Violets in sabre.
- Senior Marissa Posner finished 7-14 in epee to lead NYU.
"I'm so proud of this team," added Mormando. "Even if the results did not show it, they had a lot of grit and did a great job against some of the best teams in the country."
