Jenni Bluetling of the New York University women's golf team, which is currently ranked #9 by GolfStat.com, was selected as the Division III Rookie of the Month by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) on Wednesday, April 6.

Bluetling began the month by helping lead NYU to the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on March 12-13 with a two-round 163 (85-78) to tie for fifth place individually.

Then, at the 54-hole Jekyll Island Women's Collegiate Invitational from March 18-20, the rookie from Germany helped the Violets to a third-place finish out of 23 teams. Bluetling placed third out of 121 competitors with a three-round, 6-over 222 (75-71-76). Her second-round, one-under 71 tied for the third-lowest single-round score in program history. Additionally, her 222 blew away the previous 54-hole program record by 13 strokes.

While this is the first career ECAC honor for Bluetling, she has received other honors this month. The freshman was named All-UAA and UAA Athlete of the Week.
