Carnegie Mellon Places Fifth at Allegheny Invitational

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team improved 13 strokes on the second day of the 2015 Allegheny College Invitational to finish fifth out of nine teams.  The 36-hole evented was hosted at the par 73 Country Club of Meadville.  The Tartans finished with a team score of 719 (366-353).
    
Sophomore Summer Kitahara (Greenwich, Conn./Rye Country Day) led the Tartans with a 164 (80-84) to place sixth individually.   On Monday, senior Yoon Hee Ha (Tigard, Ore.) topped her career-best opening round score and fired a 90 to end the 36-hole event with a 183.

Freshman Carly Jordan (San Juan Capistrano, Calif./St. Margaret's Episcopal School) finished with a 188 (95-93).  Sophomore Emma Hoskins (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) improved 22 strokes on day two ending with a 194 (108-86) while fellow classmate Ginger Glass (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) ended the invitational with a 208 (98-110).

The Tartans had one individual enter the invitational, as Isabelle Tseng (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) shot a 213 (108-105).
