From Carnegie Mellon University Athletics
The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team competed at the opening round of the Generals Invitational hosted by Washington & Lee University Monday, October 5. The Tartans carded a 344 and are in fourth after the first 18 holes of play at the Lexington Country Club.
Bridgewater College leads the invitational after shooting a 314 while Marin Warring of Bridgewater and Danielle Burns of Methodist University are tied atop the leader board with a two-over par 74.
Sophomore Robin Tan (Austin, Texas/Westlake) is tied for seventh overall with a 79. Sophomore Emma Hoskins (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) and freshman Carly Jordan (San Juan Capistrano, Calif./St. Margaret's Episcopal School) carded rounds of 84 and 89. Sophomore Summer Kitahara (Greenwich, Conn./Rye Country Day) shot a 92 on Monday while senior Yoon Hee Ha(Tigard, Ore.) fired a 97.
The Tartans had two individuals enter the invitational, as sophomore Ginger Glass(Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) shot a 102 and classmate Isabelle Tseng (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) shot a 105.
