The New York University women's golf team, ranked #12 by GolfStat.com, took first place at the 2016 University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Golf Championship, which was held on Saturday and Sunday, March 12-13, at the Red Tail Golf Course in Sorrento, FL.
The Violets were victorious with a two-round 650, followed closely by #7 Washington University-St. Louis (652). Carnegie Mellon University placed third (707).
"We played well enough to come back from five strokes down after the first round and win the championship by two strokes," said NYU Head Coach Todd Kolean. "Jenni (Bluetling) had a great round today and Kristin (Lee) had a solid weekend for us. We weren't at our best, but it was a good start to the spring campaign."
