Washington University Lands Three on All-Region Team

Washington University in St. Louis had three student-athletes named to the 2016 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Division III Region3/Central Region Team, as announced at the WGCA Awards Banquet in Houston, Texas.

Senior Connie Zhou earned first-team all-region honors for the fourth-straight season, while junior Jessica Wibawa picked up the honor for the second-consecutive year. Freshman Chloe DiPetrillo also earned all-region honors in her rookie season.

DiPetrillo posted three top-10 finishes and ranked second in the Central Region and 39th in NCAA Division III with a 79.00 scoring average. She carded 11 of 17 rounds at 80 or lower, and fired a career-low 73 at the Labor Day Tee-Off en route to earning medalist honors. DiPetrillo was a UAA Championship All-Tournament second team selection after an eighth-place finish, and earned UAA Athlete of the Week honors on Sept. 8.

Jessica Wibawa
Wibawa carded seven rounds at 80 or lower and ranked ninth in the Central Region and 109 in NCAA Division III with an 81.84 scoring average. She was named to the Olivet Labor Tee-Off All-Tournament Team after posting a fifth place finish with a two-day score of 160 (79-81). Wibawa tied a career-low with a 74 on day two at Jekyll Island on March 19. 

Connie Zhou
Zhou, a three-time WGCA All-America selection, concluded her career with five top-five finishes and was ranked third in the Central Region and 48th in NCAA Division III with a 79.21 scoring average. She carded 12 of 19 rounds at 80 or lower, and was named to the UAA Championship All-Tournament First Team after a fifth-place finish. Zhou was a two-time UAA Athlete of the Week honoree, and carded a season-low 72 in the find round of her career April 17 at the IWU Spring Fling. 

WashU placed in the top five in eight of nine tournaments and picked up its lone victory of the season at the Labor Day Tee-Off on Sept. 5-6. WashU finished the season ranked No. 13 in the Golfstat Division head-to-head rankings with a 317.21 stroke average.
