Washington University Women’s Golf Has Four Named WGCA All-American Scholars

The Washington University in St. Louis women's golf team had four student-athletes named to the 2015-16 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team, as announced by the organization.

A total of 828 women's collegiate golfers were recognized from NCAA Divisions I, II and III. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team is a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and adjusted scoring average of 95 or lower.

Seniors Erin Lawrence and Connie Zhou along with junior Jessica Wibawa and freshman Hanna Jia each received the honor for WashU. Lawrence picked up her fourth-consecutive distinction, Wibawa was honored for the third time, and Jia and Zhou picked up their first accolade.

The Bears placed in the top-five in seven out of nine tournaments played, including a first-place finish at the Labor Day Tee-Off in September. WashU posted an average score of 317.21, finishing the season ranked first in the Central Region and 12th in NCAA Division III.
