Washington University Leads UAA Women's Golf Championship After Day One

The No. 21-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's golf team shot its way to a first day lead during the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Saturday in Palm Beach, Fla.

The Bears shot 339 on day one finishing five strokes ahead of New York University (344) and 20 ahead of Carnegie Mellon University (359).

Freshman Samantha Haubenstock led the Bears with an 80 score. Junior Erin Drolet and freshman Angelica Harris finished with opening round scores of 84. Sophomore Chloe DiPetrilloshot a 91 and sophomore Hanna Jia shot a 93 to round out the Bears lineup.
