From Washington University Athletics

Freshman Annie Mascot set a 54-hole school record en route to claiming medalist honors at the Lady Red Wolves Classic hosted by Arkansas State University Monday-Tuesday in Jonesboro, Ark.

Mascot fired a three-day total of five-under 211 (70-71-70) to finish first out of 56 golfers in a field of eight NCAA Division I schools. She broke the previous WashU low 54-hole score of 219, set by Connie Zhou in the 2013-14 season.

As a team WashU fired a three-day total of 939 (324-306-306) to finish ninth. WashU was the lone NCAA Division III school in the field of eight Division I teams. Arkansas State ran away with the team title with an 873 (294-284-295).

WashU returns to action on Saturday-Sunday, March 14-15, at the 2020 University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship in Hammock Beach, Fla.

NOTES: The 54-hole score of 936 was the sixth-lowest in school history … Mascot finished first in three of six tournaments in the Fall, including six top-five finishes.
